Straight Out Of Compton Movie

This is a movie I’m definitely looking forward to watching. Not only did I grow up one city over from them in Carson, but was following their careers since Dr Dre were selling his mixtape at the Roadium Swap Meet, since Dre was in World Class Wreckin’ Crew, since Dr Dre sold his 1st 12 inch single “Surgery”, since Ice Cube was in CIA, since Eazy E dropped Boyz In The Hood, to when they dropped their 1st NWA single “Dope Man” but my favorite on the backside “Panic Zone” with Arabian Prince part of the original crew back then. Then of course followed them through their career as NWA to breaking up NWA and all of them going solo and beefing. Ironic thing is many of the things they were rapping as NWA about what they saw in Compton back then (Police Brutality, Drug Warfare, Gangs, etc) is still prevalent today and still taking place in many parts of the country. It’s gonna be really cool to learn about their story through this movie and how they fought to be heard and used music as their main weapon. I’ve also mentioned it before in interviews but I’ll state it again here, Eazy E had an indirect impact on my Career as a Radio DJ. He put on Julio G as his DJ on the Ruthless Radio show just before he passed away, and eventually it was Julio G & Tony G who put me on LA Radio at 92.3 The Beat. Thank you and much respect to NWA! I’m really looking forward to watching their story on the big screen today!
